• Wallpaper fragment from Montpelier, ca. 1795
This fragment of wallpaper was taken from Montpelier before it was razed in 1871. The eagle formed a prominent part of the design, and was a design element that Knox often used. The paper is sprinkled with mica chips to make it sparkle in the light.

Donated to Montpelier from an unknown source
    Accession Number: P-098
