• Ribbon-back side chair, ca. 1790
    This dining chair with ribbon-carved back,straight molded legs and leather seat is probably made out of mahogany. The chair was purchased by Fisher Gay of Rockland when items from Montpelier were auctioned in 1854, and then passed down among Thomaston families.
