• Mahogany knife case, ca. 1790
    This knife case was passed down in the Knox family, and is purported to be from the furnishings at Montpelier. It is possible it once belonged to Knox; financial records at the Maine Historical Society indicate that he bought a pair of mahogany knife cases in 1791.
