In 1932 the Knox Memorial Association purchased this chandelier from The Quarters Antiques in Virginia to furnish the Oval Room in their memorial. It is not known whether a chandelier graced the original Montpelier, but it is likely. This twenty-branch chandelier, understood to be a Waterford, is extremely similar to a fourteen-branch chandelier at Arlington Court in Devon, England, also understood to be Waterford.
Purchased by the Knox Memorial Association in 1932.
