THE KNOX MUSEUM RELEASED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT TODAY:
The Knox Museum Board of Trustees voted yesterday “to keep the doors open.” Thank you to all of the individuals who gave donations and pledges to make this possible. While we have yet to reach our goal of $150,000, the Board felt that enough funds were raised to keep operations ongoing while the Museum continues to raise approximately one-third still needed. As part of that decision, the Board charged the Executive Committee with developing an immediate plan to restructure museum operations to reduce costs. The Executive Committee will meet next week to begin drafting the restructuring plan. With the continued support of our donors and the community, we will work toward a stronger future.
