• Boots on the Ground – SHOOT LIKE A GIRL

    Knox Museum dedicates 2017 to women veterans, in Maine and beyond. Join us on Saturday, May 27, from 11 am to 2 pm for Knox Museum’s annual tribute to ALL veterans, (combat and non-combat, in-theater and at home) highlighting women veterans in 2017. Keynote address will be presented by MAJ Mary Jennings (M.J.) Hegar, US Air Force veteran, and author of the newly published Shoot Like A Girl: One Woman’s Fight in Afghanistan and on the Home Front. There will be patriotic music and ceremonies, free lunch provided by Tenants Harbor Masons and Knox Museum, and free tours of Montpelier from 1 to 4 pm. Rain or shine, under the big tent in front of Montpelier. All are welcome. Dress for changeable weather!
