    Happy Birthday US Army! Come help us celebrate Flag Day and the 241st birthday of the United States Army. Wednesday • June 14, 2017 • 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Outdoor ceremony with speakers, and special recognition given to local families whose relatives served in WWI, The Great War. Admission is free, and all are invited. Stay tuned for further details.     Maine Military Women from the American Revolution to The Global War on Terror.  Opening reception, Thursday, June 15, 2017, 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Come see Knox Museum’s special 2017 exhibition on Maine women in the military, from Molly Pitcher and Hannah Watts Weston to Beth Parks, and Adria Horn, above. In Montpelier's brand new third floor rotating exhibition space. Admission is free, and all are welcome. Exhibition continues through Columbus Day.

    Muskets to Machine Guns: BOOM!

    Boom! For 3 days only, Knox Museum - in partnership with the Maine Military Historical Society Museum - will exhibit an impressive cache of historic and contemporary weaponry, from the American Revolution through present day. Saturday/Sunday/Monday, July 1-3, 2017, inside Montpelier, 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Admission is $10 Adults, $8 Seniors and AAA Members, Children age 5 -13 $4, and Flat Family Rate (2 parents and 2 kids) $20. Active Military, Knox Museum members, and kids under 5 admitted free.

    Revolutionary War Encampment

    Imagine life over 200 years ago. What was it like living in an encampment, far away from home, fighting for freedom from the crown, living off the land? Come see at Knox Museum as re-enactors from around New England gather on Montpelier's 13.5 acre property to pitch their tents, show their wares, cook over a campfire, and practice musket drills.
